Authorities were investigating Monday after a small plane carrying six people crashed off the San Diego coast.

Two men are charged in connection to the deadly shooting of a man who police say happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time in Gastonia.

Democratic Congresswoman Maxine Waters of California attempted to visit a prisoner at the metropolitan detention center in Los Angeles,  but was turned away.
