A vegetation fire that started in the hills of East San Jose on Tuesday afternoon is 100% contained, officials said Wednesday morning.

Cal Fire has issued evacuation orders Tuesday evening for the Ranch Place fire burning in the East San Jose foothills. The blaze has consumed 100 acres in the area near Ranch Place and Old Piedmont Road as of 4:17 p.

Ranch Fire initially started 2:33 p.m. June 10 in San Bernardino County. It has burned 4,293 acres after being active for six days. As of Monday afternoon, the fire crew managed to contain 90% of the fire. However, investigations into the cause are ongoing.
