The NHL playoffs are in full swing and Wednesday saw another slate of exciting games. The Washington Capitals and Montreal Canadiens played the second game of their series, as did the Los Angeles Kings and Edmonton Oilers. Meanwhile, the Dallas Stars took on the Colorado Avalanche in Game 3 of their first-round series.

Sixteen teams in total make the NBA playoffs, eight teams from both the Eastern and Western Conferences. The top six seeds in each conference advance based on the regular season record. The final two seeds in each conference are wild-card spots based on the best remaining records in each conference.

ARLINGTON, Va. – The National Hockey League announced today the 2025 Stanley Cup Playoffs First Round schedule and broadcast information between the Washington Capitals and the Montreal Canadiens, which begins Monday, April 21 at 7 p.m. at Capital One Arena. All First Round games will be televised on Monumental Sports Network (MNMT).
