With support from Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder, the Mariners and Padres announced Friday that the two “natural rivals” will formally compete for the Vedder Cup.
The two teams will compete each season in a six-game series for a trophy and the right to a claim on Eddie Vedder's musical legacy.
