A stealth fighter like the F-35 is not invisible or undetectable. Contrary to popular perception, stealth feature does not mean the plane cannot show up on a radar. It is just difficult to detect, lighting up the radar as an extremely tiny speck unlike a non-stealth combat jet.

Combat missions against Iran are the most challenging that an F-35 has flown, showcasing the jet's capabilities, an airpower expert said.
