Emma Mackey ( Sex Education ) has signed on to play the role of the villainous White Witch in director Greta Gerwig ’s upcoming take on The Chronicles of Narnia at Netflix. Narnia has already announced Daniel Craig ’s casting in the role of Uncle Digory Kirke,

White Witch, whose name is Jadis, is the primary antagonist of not just Magician’s Nephew but also the best known of all the Narnia books, The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. She is the one who plunged Narnia into an endless winter (where it never ever gets to Christmas) and turns her enemies into statues.

Greta Gerwig’s upcoming Netflix adaptation of The Chronicles of Narnia has officially cast Emma Mackey in the role of Jadis the White Witch.
