The movie opens on a morose note, as Florence Pugh ’s weary assassin Yelena explains in voiceover that she feels deadened by the loss of her sister ( Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow) and the empty routine of her life.

Avengers' film starring Sebastian Stan, Florence Pugh and David Harbour is enjoyably more down to earth than some recent Marvel movies.

Thunderbolts, the latest big-screen release from Marvel Studios (which is also its final Phase Five film), goes the Suicide Squad route, bringing together a group of degenerate anti-heroes in the name of the greater good. Surprisingly, it's a more enjoyable movie than its DC counterpart.
