The engineering and planning work required to build the ships has been underway for a year. Production of the lead ship will begin in third quarter 1995 with delivery scheduled in second quarter 1997.

Johns Ship Building has been contracted to build two aluminum cruise vessels, further diversifying its production portfolio and reinforcing its capabilities in the commercial passenger vessel sector.
