CAMDEN, Ark. (KATV) — After days of relentless rain, the Ouachita River at Camden reached its highest crest since December 1987 this week, threatening homes and lives.
So far, the highest crest on record for the Ouachita River was 46 feet and that record was set back in 1882. Fast forward to the present day, and the river is expected to crest at around 43 feet.
It measured 20 inches and weighed 3.9 pounds. It was my biggest Ouachita River smallmouth and one of my biggest of all time. Returning downstream, Larson caught a big Kentucky bass at Striper Corner.
