The New York Rangers were among the most disappointing teams in the league this past season, but they are maintaining some continuity in the front office as they look to bounce back moving forward. On Wednesday, the Rangers announced they agreed to a multi-year contract extension with president and general manager Chris Drury.

It stems from New York's decision after last season to waive forward Barclay Goodrow when he still had three years remaining on his contract, followed by the strong attempt to convince former captain Jacob Trouba to waive his modified no-trade clause so he could be moved before July 1.
