The US president insisted that he and his Israeli counterpart are on the 'same side of every issue,' as Israel vows to act against Iran's nuclear ambitions despite renewed diplomatic efforts.

It was their first conversation since the prime minister's visit to the White House two weeks ago, when the US president announced direct talks with Iran.
