Arrowhead has released another hotfix for HD2, and the Helldivers 2 update 01.002.203 patch notes finally fix a popular broken weapon.

After an incorrect email from Arrowhead Support, a Helldivers 2 QA lead has confirmed that a popular weapon is not "broken".
