Retired Maui police chiefs defend Chief Pelletier amid a lawsuit implicating him in a Diddy-related sexual assault case.

Gary Yabuta and Thomas Phillips sent letters to the Maui Police Commission that said it would be “premature and unjust” to put Pelletier on leave because of a complaint filed earlier this month.
