NORMAN, Okla. — Oklahoma softball knew it had a challenge ahead when reigning SEC Pitcher of the Year Karlyn Pickens rolled into town.

The Razorbacks were ranked as high as No. 7 by Softball America. They rose to No. 8 in D1Softball’s poll and remained No. 12 in the NFCA/GoRout Coaches poll. Arkansas rose an average 3 1/2 spots across all polls.

D1 Softball was the only poll that didn’t drop the Wildcats. SA moved Arizona down from 10 to 12, although the outlet moved Oklahoma State up from 24 to 22 after its 1-2 series loss in Tucson. USA Softball dropped the Wildcats from 12 to 13.
