CBS had been seeking to block Sony Pictures Television from distributing the popular game shows. It was a good week in court for Sony Pictures Television. Earlier this year, Sony told CBS and parent company Paramount Global that it was assuming distribution duties for Jeopardy!

Jeopardy! is firmly back on top of the ratings war with its rival game show, Wheel of Fortune, despite the latter seeing a numbers boost last year when Ryan Seacrest took over as host.

A judge refused to grant an injunction, allowing Sony to take over distribution of 'Wheel of Fortune' and 'Jeopardy.'
