Straight-line winds led to severe storm damage and thousands of people in the Washington County area being without power after an Easter weekend storm, according to the National Weather Service.

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — It’s going to take most of Easter Sunday to restore power to thousands of residents in north central West Virginia after a heavy storm blew through the area Saturday night.
