Augusta County School Board voted 5-1 to approve a middle school football program for sixth and seventh graders, with eighth-grade participation contingent on athletic director approval.

Almost 25 Spearfish Middle School eighth-graders signed a pledge of commitment to the high school football program Monday at the Spearfish High School gym.
