Maryland counties avoided some additional cost shifts from the state under the budget framework House lawmakers tentatively approved last week, but some extra costs remain on the table.

The Board of Revenue Estimates projects that half of Maryland's counties and county equivalents would lose income tax revenue if the state moves forward with the proposed changes to deductions.
