"It's about the need to make sure that the number of electors per MP remains within a certain boundary," said Dr Janil of the changes laid out by the EBRC.

The changes were driven by voter growth and future housing developments in areas such as Punggol, Tengah and Bukit Batok West, says the Electoral Boundaries Review Committee.
