PENSACOLA, Fla. -- Pensacola Police say all parts of Scenic Hwy are back open for traffic at this time. Police tell WEAR News the death appears to be a suicide. An investigation is still ongoing.

Police said Duquares Smith, 38, was found with multiple gunshot wounds on Sherwood Street, which is off Scenic Highway, just before 11:15 a.m. There is currently no motive or suspect at this time.

Scenic Highway at Blount Road was shut down just before 9:30 a.m. Friday. US 61 North is closed at Blount Road due to an accident. Congestion is approaching 1 mile in length.
