The offseason retirements of two pivotal starters – quarterback Derek Carr in May and safety Tyrann Mathieu on Tuesday, the day before the New Orleans Saints' first training camp practice under first-year coach Kellen Moore – didn't dampen the outlook of Executive Vice President/General Manager Mickey Loomis one iota.
The Saints announced Tuesday that both Taysom Hill and Foster Moreau will begin training camp on the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list. The news was expected, as both Hill and Moreau missed the summer program while recovering from knee injuries suffered late last year.
The New Orleans Saints officially report to the team facility in Metairie Tuesday for the start of training camp.
