A 17-year-old boy is charged in the homicide death of Sunshine Stewart, a woman who went missing while paddleboarding on a pond in Maine and was found dead hours later, according to state authorities.

PORTLAND, Maine (AP) — Authorities in Maine said Friday they have charged a 17-year-old with murder in the death of a paddleboarder who went missing on a rural pond.

Maine State Police made an arrest in the death of Sunshine Stewart, who went missing July 2 and died of strangulation and blunt force trauma.
