Jesus is the Good Shepherd because of His concern for the sheep − “I am the good shepherd; I know My sheep and My sheep know Me” (vs. 14).

Jesus is not a hired hand, He is the Good Shepherd. He knows who His sheep are and will never let them out of His sight. He can be trusted fully because He is fully trustworthy.

So, today, may you know Jesus, the Good Shepherd, and hear his voice. May you listen to him and follow him, and may you fulfil his calling to be like him and be a shepherd for him.
