Wildlife officials have rescued a bull elk by lowering it down a cliff after the animal became entangled in a rope at a popular ice climbing area in southwestern Colorado.

CPW said the rare genetic trait happens in about 1 out of every 100,000 elk. They added that if you come across the rare animal, make sure you give them a lot of space and don’t come near them.
