The outer bitumen layer has been damaged at several places on the stretch from Natesan Nagar to the Regional Transport Office. The city’s first flyover presents a picture of gross neglect.

Officials told the MP that service roads on both sides of the Udupi-Kundapura stretch would immediately be restored with bitumen cover while the underpass would be asphalted in about three days.
