On Thursday, March 13, Jackie and Shadow’s instincts kicked in, sensing the upcoming storm, according to Friends of Big Bear Valley (FOBBV), the nonprofit that manages the bald eagle live cams.
They are the only species of bear to call the isle home. "Brown bears live throughout Alaska and are the only bear species found in Sitka," the National Parks Service (NPS) states on their website.
