ESPARTO, Calif. — The Yolo County Board of Supervisors proclaimed a local emergency Tuesday due to the deadly Esparto fireworks warehouse explosion.
YOLO COUNTY – Seven people were missing Wednesday afternoon, a day after a warehouse storing fireworks exploded in Yolo County, authorities said. The explosion also sparked a vegetation fire and triggered evacuations.
Oakdale Fire initially started 6:02 p.m. July 1 in Yolo County, California. Since its discovery 38 hours ago, it has burned 78.3 acres. As of Thursday morning, the fire crew managed to contain 60% of the fire. Investigations into its cause are still ongoing.
The Yolo County officials have confirmed that they have found the seven bodies near the warehouse fire in Esparto. At this time, YCSO has not identified the names of the victims
