Following Spirit Airlines’ reorganization after filing for bankruptcy, Spirit Aviation Holdings, Inc., the airline’s parent company, announced its common stock has been approved to list on the NYSE American, with trading to begin April 29, 2025 under the symbol FLYY.

Spirit Airlines announced its common stock will be traded on the NYSE American exchange effective April 29, a move that management hopes will draw more investors.

Spirit Airlines (previous NYSE ticker: SAVEQ) filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection after a number of potential corporate sales and mergers fell through. This led to the company being delisted from the New York Stock Exchange.
