Ranch Pl Fire initially started today at 4:17 p.m. in Santa Clara County. Since its discovery less than an hour ago, it has burned 30 acres, an increase of 20 acres since the last update. A crew of 69 firefighters is working on site.

A vegetation fire that started in the hills of East San Jose on Tuesday afternoon is 100% contained, officials said Wednesday morning.
