Bharatiya Janata Party's candidate Chandrabhan Paswan thanked the people of Milkipur after securing a historic victory in the Assembly bypoll against Samajwadi Party's Ajit Prasad by a margin of 61,710 votes.

Months after its huge defeat in Faizabad, BJP turned the Milkipur bypoll, part of the constituency where the Ram temple was inaugurated, into a massive victory for itself.
