Katherine Legge spent 25 years working her way through professional motorsports before getting her shot at driving a NASCAR Cup Series car.

Katherine Legge became the first woman to race in the NASCAR Cup Series race since 2018 on Sunday at Phoenix Raceway.

Katherine Legge, who became the first female racer to compete in the NASCAR Cup Series since 2018, says she learned a lot in her debut, which amounted to a, "Baptism by fire," and hopes she has the opportunity to return despite crashing out of the race.
