The United States and the United Kingdom looked set on Thursday to be picked by FIFA next year as hosts of Women’s World Cups that will be expanded to 48 teams from 32.

FIFA president Gianni Infantino said on Thursday the United States and another Concacaf country are the sole bidders to co-host the 2031 Women's World Cup.
