A new feature for Copilot on Windows will let you speak to the AI tool after using a keyboard shortcut. Press to talk is in testing among Windows Insiders.

Now rolling out to Windows insiders, the updated Copilot app will let you use a hotkey to automatically launch the AI in conversation mode.

Hold Alt + Spacebar for two seconds, and Clippy 2.0 is all ears Microsoft has added yet another Copilot tweak for Windows Insiders. Hold down Alt + Spacebar for two seconds, and the AI assistant will pop up for a voice chat.

Newer Windows PCs have included a special Copilot key for about a year now. The Copilot key is meant to be a dedicated way to bring up Microsoft’s Copilot AI assistant, although some people never use it and have turned to repurposing the Copilot key for other actions.

Microsoft unveiled the new Copilot app in Windows 11, and this week, it's rolling out the first of what will be several new features.
