CEDAR RAPIDS — Susie Stark, a second-grade teacher at Viola Gibson Elementary School in Cedar Rapids, is one of nine finalists for 2025’s Iowa Teacher of the Year.

Samantha Gotto is a special education teacher at Viola Gibson Elementary in Cedar Rapids and is January's winner of the KCRG-TV9 A+ for Education award.

Viola Liu-Johnson is a science teacher at James Hillhouse High School in New Haven, CT. She started her teaching career at Teach For America and now has five years of experience under her belt.
