Forecasters are warning about a wet and windy end to the weekend, as a big storm system is expected to pummel the New York City area on Sunday. Meteorologist Jim Connolly from the National Weather Service said around an inch of rain could fall in the region Sunday afternoon and night. Strong winds are also expected to accompany the storm.

A strong low-pressure system will bring an assortment of weather elements to Southeast Michigan through the weekend.
