A new middle school in Corpus Christi will be called Lexington Middle School after the Corpus Christi Independent School District board of trustees voted to approve the name Monday evening.

The Fountain Lake School Board unanimously approved the use of $40,460 in school safety grant funds to install new security fencing around the campus at Monday night's monthly board meeting.
