MIAMI - Miami police are investigating the stabbing of a man in downtown Miami on Wednesday afternoon. The incident occurred near 112 W. Flagler St., authorities said. Miami Fire Rescue reported that the victim, believed to be a 59-year-old man, was transported to Ryder Trauma Center in extremely critical condition.

A day after a person was fatally stabbed on a trolley in Miami, a suspect is facing murder charges, police said.

Miami police identified the man accused of stabbing another man to death on a city trolley in the Edgewater neighborhood Tuesday afternoon. Investigators said it all appears to have started after the suspect felt the victim got too close to him as they were about to get off the bus.

Miami Police Capt. Freddie Cruz said two men who were passengers on the trolley got into some sort of argument before one pulled out a knife and stabbed the other. The man who was stabbed died from his injuries the other man was detained. Their identities haven't been released.

The stabbing happened shortly before 3 p.m. near Biscayne Boulevard and Northeast 29th Street. According to police, surveillance video from the trolley shows Collins standing in the front before the exit doors as Adolf Bruce,
