The largest fires in WNC were the Deep Woods and Black Cove fires in Polk County not far from Hendersonville, that forced evacuations in Polk and Henderson counties along with states of emergency.

The storms have downed trees and powerlines across the area, with Paulding County being one of the hardest hit areas.
