MSNBC‘s chief numbers guy, Steve Kornacki, whose analytics have become a mainstay at the network on election nights, is leaving the network after more than a decade. The news was first reported by The Hollywood Reporter.

Kornacki, a popular presence on MSNBC during election cycles, will take his data-analzying skills to NBC News and NBC Sports as parent company Comcast prepares to spin off the bulk of its cable networks into a new stand-alone entity, NBC News confirmed Tuesday.
