A central Ukrainian city held vigils on Monday that began three days of mourning for 11 adults and nine children killed by a Russian missile last week, as one of the deadliest attacks on civilians in months jeopardised Washington's ceasefire push.

Ukraine has initiated an urgent meeting of the UN Security Council and a special meeting of the OSCE Permanent Council following Russia's deadly attack on Kryvyi Rih, Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha wrote on X on April 7.

Kryvyi Rih was hit by a massive strike from Russia. Law enforcement officials released a video after the Russian missile attack, according to Oleksii Biloshytskyi, First Deputy Head of the Patrol Police Department of Ukraine.
