With small class sizes and personalized instruction, Brewer Elementary is turning academic struggles into success stories.

The fact that her work was highlighted, and that the class was talking about how her work supported their understanding of the math content, positioned her as a capable and competent math student.

Students come to Dankwa's class with varied backgrounds with math. Some love the subject, others are still scarred by their own schooling. But she said all see the value in math education.
