On its website, SB360 Capital Partners has posted the eight JCPenney stores — each in different states — that are being shut down. Here’s the list of department stores being closed and where they are: -JCPenney at The Shops at Tanforan in San Bruno, California. -JCPenney at The Shops at Northfield in Denver, Colorado.

The locations set for closure include: There are approximately 650 JCPenney stores in the U.S. At its peak, the chain operated more than 2,000 locations across the U.S.

Asheville's only JCPenney location at the Asheville Mall is set to close this spring. A JCPenney representative told the Citizen Times via email that the Asheville location at 3 S. Tunnel Road plans to close its doors by May 25 of this year.
