Albums from Elton John, Miles Davis, Tracy Chapman, Mary J. Blige and the cast of “Hamilton" are entering America's audio canon, along with singles from Helen Reddy and Celine Dion and the music of “Minecraft.

Songs from Elton John, Celine Dion and Mary J. Blige; the cast recording of “Hamilton;” and the Microsoft Windows reboot chime are being recognized as the “sounds of America” — earning them a new place in the Library of Congress’s National Recording Registry.

The Library of Congress’s 2025 selections also include works from Don Rickles, Miles Davis, Celine Dion and Amy Winehouse, plus the music for “Minecraft.”
