Bonzi Wells began a two-year stint as LeMoyne ... an 18-11 record in 2022-23 before being hired by Georgia Tech coach Damon Stoudamire as an assistant coach. He became an advocate for HBCU athletes.

During the regular season, Portland relied much on point guard Damon Stoudamire. Though his numbers are down in the playoffs, he has a distinct advantage over the bigger, slower Ron Harper.

The road has not been kind to Georgia Tech during the Damon Stoudamire era. The Yellow Jackets have won just three times in 11 true road games under the second-year coach, including 0-2 this season.
