There hasn't been an exact date and time announced, but more than 50 other Big Lots stores will reopen on May 1, with two other waves of reopenings set to take place “through early June,” according to the release.

Big Lots has certainly had its share of ups and downs, but through a series of bankruptcies and acquisition deals, the retailer was able to retain at least part of its U.S. footprint. Fans of the discount store will be happy to know that the new incarnation of Big Lots commences this week, and there are plenty of new offerings to look forward to.

Variety Wholesalers plans to open more Big Lots stores through June. The company says they will be located in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Michigan, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, and West Virginia, among other states.
