A lot remains on the line when USC and BYU meet again Saturday night, as the teams were both atop the MPSF standings at 2-0 entering Friday’s meeting. The match will begin at 7 p.m.

Texas won the overall title again with 1,255.25 points, edging out USC by 1.5 points. BYU was the highest ranked Big 12 school in the Directors’ Cup final standings.

BYU quarterback Zach Wilson threw for 280 yards and one touchdown and ran for another score to help the host Cougars upset the No. 24 USC Trojans 30-27 in overtime on Saturday.

According to the Salt Lake Tribune, USC's quarterback, Jaxson Dart, and linebacker Tayler Katoa are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, which owns and runs BYU.

In response, USC tweeted, "The offensive chant from our student section directed towards BYU during the football game last night does not align with our Trojan values.
