Parchment paper is a great liner for your air fryer. For safety, cut it to size, weigh it down with food, and avoid temperatures above 450 degrees.
Foil vs. parchment vs. wax paper vs. freezer paper: Here's when to use them These go-to cooking staples have very different uses. Make sure you're using the right one with this guide.
Parchment paper is also pretty heat resistant, capable of standing up to oven temperatures as high as 450 degrees. (Any hotter and it has a tendency to turn dark and brittle.) ...
Parchment paper, on the other hand, is covered in silicone and can thus handle heat well. Even at high temperatures (over 450°F), the paper may brown, but it will not burn.
Wax paper is also a non-stick coated paper, but rather than silicone, it is coated in (spoiler alert!) wax. It's paraffin wax, to be more specific, which makes it moisture-proof and grease-proof, too.
You can safely use parchment paper in an oven. Wax paper also has a non-stick surface, but it’s not intended for use around any kind of heat source. The wax on the paper could melt.
