Apple Inc.’s top executive overseeing its Siri virtual assistant told staff that delays to key features have been ugly and embarrassing, and a decision to publicly promote the technology before it was ready made matters worse.

Our own John-Anthony Disotto calls Apple Intelligence " a fever dream " that perhaps Apple might like to forget. Fast Company's Harry McKracken is a bit more measured and while he thinks Apple might've failed to "emotionally bond with Siri" he writes that he'd rather see a "great" Siri than one that arrives "on time."

Apple has a big vaporware problem, Apple Intelligence's smart Siri, but I still want that smart AI assistant on the iPhone.
