U.S. President Donald Trump's administration has said it is going to deploy 4,000 National Guard troops and 700 Marines to Los Angeles to help protect federal property and personnel during the ongoing protests in the city.

San Francisco — A federal court hearing is scheduled for Thursday on whether the Trump administration can use the National Guard and Marines to assist with immigration raids in Los Angeles.

As anti-immigration raid protests continue for the sixth day in Los Angeles, a group of 30 regional mayors came together to stand in support and solidarity.
