Thousands of people gathered across Michigan Saturday to protest President Donald Trump’s immigration enforcement policies and what they called his broad authoritarian governance.

Protests under "No Kings" banner erupt in Michigan, with peaceful demonstrations and a brief scuffle in Detroit.

Detroit Lakes was one of nearly 2,000 locations participating in a nationwide protest against the Trump administration on Saturday, June 14.

In 70 or so Michigan cities, from Midland to Muskegon and Milan to Marquette, thousands expressed their dissatisfaction.

"No Kings" demonstrations against Trump are planned in dozens of Michigan cities, from Ann Arbor to Battle Creek, Bay City, Detroit, Flint, Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo, Lansing, Muskegon and beyond.

No Kings has identified on its website more than 1,800 cities nationwide, including about 70 in Michigan, where demonstrators are set to gather to express disapproval.
